Kansas Speedway Campground Ministry Spring 2025 UPDATE
Kansas Speedway Family Ministry Tent at Richmond Campground – UPDATE The following is the schedule of activities for the Spring Race Weekend (May 8-11). This
Our first interactions with KCARM (Kansas City Area Raceway Ministries) was back in 2002, just one year after the track opened. We came and volunteered our time to help at the ministry tent however we could. As time went on, we became the “night crew” and drove around on golf carts delivering hot beverages and food to the overnight security workers scattered throughout the complex. Security worked 12 hour shifts for the duration of the weekend and the overnight hours (6pm-6am) were the toughest. Our goal was to keep them awake, alert, and appreciated. Over the years we got to know some of the “regulars” that came out to work security and were able to show them God’s love in a way that I’m sure they did not expect.
As time went on and KCARM volunteers and leadership changed, there was a need for someone to take over the planning and running of the ministry tent at Richmond Campground. We stepped up in 2014 and have been organizing the activities and volunteers at that location ever since.
We look forward to continuing our work there and seek others that would like to step along side us and share the gospel through the unique venue of NASCAR racing.
